Sufjan Stevens | The Avalanche | VINYL

Sufjan Stevens is an American singer, songwriter and composer whose work moves between intimate folk, electronics and elaborate orchestration. His recordings combine detailed storytelling, spiritual inquiry and exceptional arranging imagination.

The Avalanche gathers outtakes and additional material from the sessions for Illinois, extending that album’s intricate orchestral-folk world. Alternative versions of Chicago sit beside character studies, instrumentals and richly arranged songs across a twenty-one-track double LP.

Edition: 2LP. Label: Asthmatic Kitty.
