Rod Stewart | Gasoline Alley | CD

Rod Stewart is a British singer whose raspy, expressive voice has moved effortlessly between rock, soul, folk and standards. His recordings combine conversational phrasing with an instinct for both intimate storytelling and large-scale performance.

Gasoline Alley builds on Rod Stewart’s early mixture of folk, blues and rough-edged rock. The title track and a carefully chosen set of covers make space for his expressive singing and the loose, acoustic-led feel of the arrangements.

Edition: CD. Label: Mercury.
