Max Romeo & Upsetters | War Ina Babylon | VINYL

Max Romeo is a Jamaican reggae singer whose socially conscious songs became central to roots reggae. With the Upsetters, his voice meets the distinctive arrangements and studio atmosphere associated with Lee Perry.

War Ina Babylon joins Max Romeo’s clear, expressive vocals to Lee Perry’s Black Ark production and the Upsetters’ rhythmic foundations. Its songs combine social observation and spiritual conviction with the spacious, deeply textured sound of classic roots reggae.

Edition: 1LP. Label: Proper Records.
