Nina Simone | At The Village Gate, New York 1961 | VINYL

Nina Simone was an American singer, pianist and activist whose commanding interpretations crossed jazz, blues, classical music, folk and soul. Her recordings unite extraordinary musicianship with emotional truth and an uncompromising social conscience.

These 1961 Village Gate performances capture Simone’s piano and voice in an intimate club setting, moving between reflective ballads and rhythmically assertive songs.

Edition: 1LP. Label: Vinyl Passion.
