Mad Season | Above (Expanded Edition) | VINYL

Mad Season brought together musicians from Seattle’s alternative-rock scene, including Layne Staley, Mike McCready and Barrett Martin. Their music combines blues-based improvisation with dark, reflective songwriting.

Above brings together Layne Staley’s haunted vocals, Mike McCready’s blues-inflected guitar and an expansive rhythm section. Songs such as River Of Deceit combine melancholy with improvisational space; this edition also includes additional recordings from the expanded programme.

Edition: 2LP expanded edition. Label: Music On Vinyl.
