Nina Simone | Silk and Soul | VINYL

Nina Simone was an American singer, pianist and activist whose commanding interpretations crossed jazz, blues, classical music, folk and soul. Her recordings unite extraordinary musicianship with emotional truth and an uncompromising social conscience.

Silk And Soul places Simone’s voice within late-1960s soul arrangements, combining romantic songs with recordings that carry a sharper social perspective.
