Lee Perry and The Upsetters | Revolution Dub | 1LP Coloured Vinyl

Lee “Scratch” Perry was a Jamaican producer and performer whose work with the Upsetters helped shape reggae and dub. His studio recordings used rhythm, echo, space and unusual sonic details creatively, treating production as an active part of the music rather than simply a way to capture performances. Revolution Dub was released in 1975 and was recorded at Perry’s Black Ark studio in Kingston. Its nine dubs use abrupt rhythmic changes, stereo effects and fragments of television dialogue; this edition is pressed on orange vinyl.
