Manfred Mann's Earth Band | Manfred Mann's Earth Band | LP

Manfred Mann's Earth Band is a rock band formed in 1971 by the keyboardist Manfred Mann, who was born in South Africa and had earlier been in the 1960s pop group that bore his name. Mann's use of the Moog synthesizer was key to the band's sound. The band had a successful period in the mid 1970s and early 1980s, was disbanded by Mann in 1987, and was reformed by him in 1991, after which it became a regular live band with extensive tours mostly in Europe.

Manfred Mann's Earth Band's self-titled album is a vinyl LP reissue on one disc, issued in the UK by Creature Music Ltd. and released on 21 September 2018. Manfred Mann plays organ and synthesizer and sings, Mick Rogers plays guitar and sings, Chris Slade plays drums and Colin Pattenden plays bass. The album is credited to producers Dave Hadfield, David Mackay and Manfred Mann.
