Manfred Mann's Earth Band | Mann Alive | CD

Manfred Mann's Earth Band is a rock band formed in 1971 by the keyboardist Manfred Mann, who was born in South Africa and had earlier been in the 1960s pop group that bore his name. Mann's use of the Moog synthesizer was key to the band's sound. The band had a successful period in the mid 1970s and early 1980s, was disbanded by Mann in 1987, and was reformed by him in 1991, after which it became a regular live band with extensive tours mostly in Europe.

Mann Alive is a live CD recording by Manfred Mann's Earth Band on the Creature Music label. It was recorded at various venues on the Soft Vengeance European Tour. Manfred Mann is credited as producer, and Chris Thompson, Mick Rogers, Noel McCalla and Steve Kinch are credited with vocals.
