Manfred Mann's Earth Band | Mannthology | 3CD

Manfred Mann's Earth Band is a rock band formed in 1971 by the keyboardist Manfred Mann, who was born in South Africa and had earlier been in the 1960s pop group that bore his name. Mann's use of the Moog synthesizer was key to the band's sound. The band had a successful period in the mid 1970s and early 1980s, was disbanded by Mann in 1987, and was reformed by him in 1991, after which it became a regular live band with extensive tours mostly in Europe.

Mannthology is a three CD compilation marking 50 years of Manfred Mann's Earth Band, released by Creature Music on 11 June 2021. The compilation was compiled by Nigel Stanworth and executive produced by Steve Fernie. Some tracks are said to be appearing on CD for the first time.
