Manic Street Preachers | Critical Thinking | 1LP

Manic Street Preachers are a rock group formed in Blackwood, Wales, in the late 1980s. The line-up has included James Dean Bradfield on lead guitar and vocals, Nicky Wire on bass, Sean Moore on drums and Richey Edwards on rhythm guitar. Richey Edwards has been missing, presumed dead, since 1995, and the remaining members have continued as a trio. Though they have a heavy guitar sound, their work has also been the subject of many remixes by electronic artists.

Critical Thinking is the band's 15th studio album, released as a 1 LP vinyl picture disc by Columbia on 14 February 2025. Nicky Wire has said it is a record of opposites colliding, with music that is energised and at times euphoric. The album's lyrics are described as soul-searching, with most of the words dealing with the self.
