Martha Wainwright was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on 8 May 1976. She is the daughter of Loudon Wainwright III and Kate McGarrigle and the sister of Rufus Wainwright. She has released several independent EPs, and her self-titled full-length album came out in 2005.

I Know You're Married But I've Got Feelings Too is a one-disc album by Martha Wainwright, released in 2008 on the Drowned In Sound Recordings label in the UK. Martin Terefe is credited as producer, and Martha Wainwright is credited as writer and as performer on vocals and acoustic guitar.
