Midwinter | The Waters Of Sweet Sorrow | CD
£15.00
Midwinter came into existence when guitarists Paul Corrick and Ken Saul got together to rehearse a spot for a Great Yarmouth folk club Christmas party, and they invited singer Jill Child to form a trio. The group played clubs and festivals throughout East Anglia over the following two years and drew on local folklore and legends for its original songs.
The Waters Of Sweet Sorrow is a CD album released by Prog Temple, with recordings made at Gt. Yarmouth Sound Studios in summer 1973. Ken Saul sings and plays guitar, dulcimer and banjo, Paul Corrick plays guitar, recorder and mandolin and sings, and Jill Child sings and plays recorder and autoharp. Dik Cadbury plays bass, and Mick Burroughes plays percussion and jew's harp.
