Davis, Miles | Miles Live At The Fillmore MI | CD

Miles Davis was an American trumpeter, bandleader and composer, born in Alton, Illinois on 26 May 1926 and died in Santa Monica, California on 28 September 1991. His career spanned five decades and included several major developments in jazz, among them the creation of the hard bop style in the mid-1950s and, in the late 1960s, the introduction of electronic instruments and rock and funk rhythms into his music. Around 1975 he took a hiatus over health and personal problems, returning in 1980.

At The Fillmore is a four CD album of live recordings by Miles Davis, released in Europe by Columbia in 2014 as the third volume of The Bootleg Series. It combines Fillmore East recordings from June 1970, which were originally issued in edited form on the 1970 double album Miles Davis At Fillmore, with Fillmore West recordings from April 1970 that were previously unissued. The musicians are Miles Davis on trumpet, Steve Grossman on tenor and soprano saxophones, Chick Corea on electric piano, Keith Jarrett on organ, Dave Holland on bass, Jack DeJohnette on drums and Airto Moreira on percussion. The release was produced by Michael Cuscuna and Richard Seidel, with the original recordings produced by Teo Macero.
