Miles Davis & Robert Glasper | Everything’s Beautiful | CD

Miles Davis helped reshape jazz through successive acoustic and electric ensembles, while Robert Glasper connects jazz piano with hip-hop and R&B production. Their musical approaches meet here through Glasper's use of recordings from Davis' catalogue as material for new work.

Released in 2016, Everything's Beautiful is Glasper's reimagining of Miles Davis recordings through samples, newly recorded instrumentation and guest performances. The album treats the source material as a starting point for contemporary compositions rather than reproducing the original jazz sessions unchanged.
