Miriam Makeba | Original Album Classics | 5CD

Miriam Makeba was a South African singer, born on 4 March 1932 in Johannesburg, who died on 10 November 2008 in Castel Volturno, Italy. Known as Mama Afrika, she is widely regarded as the first lady of South African traditional music and is a Grammy Award winner. After landing a role in the musical King Kong in 1959, she moved to London, where Harry Belafonte invited her to America, and she later became an international star in the USA and the UK.

This box set brings together five albums by Miriam Makeba, originally released between 1963 and 1965 and issued by RCA in 2016 as Original Album Classics. The albums are The World of Miriam Makeba, The Voice of Africa, Makeba Sings, The Magic of Makeba and An Evening with Harry Belafonte/Makeba.
