Motorhead | The First Decade | CD
Motörhead was an English rock band formed in June 1975 by bassist, singer and songwriter Ian Fraser Kilmister, known as Lemmy, who remained its only constant member. The band are often considered a precursor to, or one of the earliest members of, the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Usually a power trio, they released twenty-three studio albums before they ended.
The First Decade is a single CD compilation by Motörhead, released as an unofficial release in 2025 by Zip City. It collects early broadcasts from 1977 to 1987, including tracks from the John Peel Sessions on BBC Radio 1 recorded on 18 September 1978. Other tracks come from live FM broadcasts at Popmeeting Festival in Lochem, Netherlands, on 15 May 1980 and at Earthquake Festival in Kaatsheuvel, Netherlands, on 1 April 1986.
