Motortown Revue Collection / V | Motortown Revue Coll | CD

The Motortown Revue albums were live recordings issued by Motown between 1962 and 1965, and again in 1969. Berry Gordy decided that the best way to market his artists was to take them on the road, and the label issued these albums to capture the excitement.

The Motortown Revue Collection (Recorded Live) is a four CD live compilation from Hip-O Select, dated 2005. It features recordings with Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes, Marvin Gaye and Martha and the Vandellas, backed by Motown Sounds. Berry Gordy and William Stevenson are credited as producers.
