Mythopoeic Mind | Hatchling | CD

Mythopoeic Mind is a recording project created by Steinar Børve, the saxophone player of the Norwegian avant-rock band Panzerpappa. It grew out of a long-term wish to explore the musical landscape of symphonic rock. Its roots lie in 1997, when Børve set poems and scenes from The Lord of the Rings to music in a piece called Songs from the Red Book of Westmarch, which was performed at the 2nd Nordic Tolkien festival.

Hatchling is a 1 CD album by Mythopoeic Mind, released in August 2021 on Apollon Records: PROG in Norway. Lead vocals are by Veronika Hørven Jensen. Musicians credited on the album include Trond Gjellum on drums, Anders Kristian Krabberød on electric and acoustic guitar, and Pål Selsjord Bjørseth on keyboards and trumpet. Music is credited to Ola Mile Bruland and Steinar Børve, and lyrics to Steinar Børve.
