Necrophagia is an American death metal band from Wellsville, Ohio, formed in 1983 by vocalist Killjoy. The band drew inspiration from Venom, Hellhammer and horror and gore films, which became its main theme and lyrical topic. Its debut album Season of the Dead came out in 1987, shortly before the band broke up, and in 1997 Phil Anselmo of Pantera contacted Killjoy about a new album. Killjoy died on March 18, 2018, and the band's future is currently in question.

Here Lies Necrophagia: 35 Years Of Death Metal is a 1 CD compilation released by Season Of Mist in November 2019 and listed as a European release. The compilation draws on tracks from releases dated 1987 to 2011, and one track, Cannibal Holocaust, is described as new. The style given is death metal.
