Nihilist is a death metal band from Stockholm, Sweden, founded in 1987 by Nicke Andersson, Leif Cuzner, Alex Hellid and Ulf Cederlund, with L-G Petrov soon joining as vocalist. Its debut demo Premature Autopsy from 1988 is often considered the first real Swedish death metal demo. Following a split in 1989, Andersson and Cederlund almost immediately reformed the group as Entombed.
Carnal Leftovers is a limited edition reissue of a compilation on 1 LP, released by Threeman Recordings in Sweden in 2020. The album is credited to Nihilist, with vocals by Lars-Göran Petrov and drums by Nicke Andersson, and the compilation was assembled by Alex Hellid, Daniel Strachal and Nicke Andersson. Its tracks were recorded in Stockholm between March 1988 and September 1989.
