Nirvana | Christmas In Seattle 1988 (Clear Vinyl 2lp) | 2LP

Nirvana was a rock and grunge band from Aberdeen, Washington, USA, formed in 1987 and built around a power trio of musicians. The band emerged from the Seattle grunge scene of the late 1980s and early 1990s, and its 1991 major-label debut for DGC/Geffen Records brought the band and grunge into the American mainstream. Kurt Cobain's death in April 1994 brought the band to an end.

Christmas In Seattle 1988 (Sub Pop Launch Party) is a two-disc vinyl LP compilation by Nirvana, listed as an unofficial release on the Parachute Recording Company label, released on 1 April 2022 in Europe. One part is a live broadcast from the Sub Pop 200 LP launch party at the Hollywood Underground Club, Seattle, recorded on 28 December 1988. The other part is a studio rehearsal broadcast recorded at Reciprocal Studios, Seattle, on 24 and 29 December 1988, while the band was recording its debut album Bleach.
