On Thorns I Lay is a Greek band that began as a death metal act called A=Paralysis in the early 1990s, alongside other Greek bands such as Rotting Christ and Septic Flesh. It changed its name to A=Phlebotomy in 1993 and to On Thorns I Lay in 1994, when its first album leaned towards death doom. The band later moved towards gothic metal and released further albums before a hiatus of 14 years. It returned in 2018 with Aegean Sorrow, its eighth album, and its current style is atmospheric doom death metal.

On Thorns I Lay is a self titled single disc CD album from Season Of Mist, released on October 13, 2023. Christos Dragamestianos wrote the music and Fragiskos Samoilis wrote the lyrics. Peter Miliadis sings and plays bass, Stelios Darakis plays drums, and Antonis Ventoouris plays keyboards.
