Jaco Pastorius | Jaco Pastorius | VINYL

Jaco Pastorius was an American bassist and composer whose fretless technique, lyrical tone and harmonic freedom transformed the role of electric bass in jazz. His work combines virtuosity with melodic and rhythmic imagination.

Jaco Pastorius’ debut showcases his expressive electric-bass playing in a programme that ranges from jazz standards to funk and lyrical composition. The arrangements make the bass both rhythmic foundation and lead voice.
