Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott | Crooked Calypso | CD

Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott are English singers who previously performed together in the Beautiful South. Their partnership combines contrasting vocal characters with Heaton's observational songwriting, setting social commentary and relationship stories within melodic pop, soul and roots-influenced arrangements.

Released in 2017, Crooked Calypso is the duo's third studio album together. The songs bring humour and pointed observation into varied arrangements, with the interplay between Heaton's and Abbott's voices connecting the programme's contrasting stories and musical styles.
