Robeson, Paul | Voice Of Freedom His Com | CD

Paul Robeson was an African-American bass-baritone concert singer and actor of film and stage, born on 9 April 1898 in Princeton, New Jersey. He died on 23 January 1976 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was also an All-American and professional athlete, a writer, scholar and lawyer, and he was noted for his social justice activism.

Voice of Freedom is a 14 CD remastered mono box set of recordings by Paul Robeson, released by Sony Classical in 2024. The set covers his major label recordings made between 1925 and 1947. Conductors credited include Nathaniel Shilkret and Paul Whiteman, with Lawrence Brown on piano, and Robert Russ is credited as producer.
