Primal Scream | Come Ahead | 2LP

Primal Scream are a Scottish band whose recordings move between rock, psychedelia, electronic music and dance influences. Fronted by Bobby Gillespie, the group has repeatedly changed its production approach while retaining an interest in rhythm, social questions and the overlap between musical traditions.

Released in 2024, Come Ahead was produced with David Holmes and Andrew Innes. The album draws particularly on funk, soul and dance-oriented arrangements, using Gillespie's personal and political writing to connect its rhythmic songs and more reflective passages.
