Danny Elfman is an American musician, songwriter and composer, born in Los Angeles. He was the lead vocalist and creative force behind the Los Angeles band Oingo Boingo from 1976 until its breakup in 1995. He is well known for film soundtracks, particularly his long-time collaborations with director Tim Burton, and he has composed theme music for television shows including The Simpsons and Desperate Housewives.

Spider-Man (Original Motion Picture Score) is a single LP vinyl album by Danny Elfman, issued on Sony Classical in 2022 as a 20th anniversary reissue. Elfman composed the score for the first film in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, starring Tobey Maguire, Willem Dafoe, Kirsten Dunst and James Franco. The recording is conducted by Pete Anthony, produced by Elfman, and credits orchestrators including David Slonaker, Edgardo Simone, Mark McKenzie and Steve Bartek.
