Giveon is an American singer whose deep baritone gives contemporary R&B a distinctive vocal centre. His songs use measured phrasing and carefully shaped melodies to explore love, distance and personal uncertainty, allowing restraint and emotional detail to carry as much weight as the production around him.
Beloved places Giveon's distinctive baritone within an album programme centred on personal relationships and emotional reflection. The songs give his measured phrasing different melodic and production settings, allowing intimacy and restraint to remain important parts of the performances while the arrangements provide contrast across the release.
