The Go-Go's are an American band whose songs connect bright pop melodies with the energy of a guitar group. Their recordings use shared ensemble playing, distinctive vocals and concise arrangements to give the music an identity that helped make them a major presence in early 1980s pop.
The Go-Go's is Allison Ellwood's documentary about the band's development from the Los Angeles punk scene to international popularity. Archive material and interviews with members and associates provide the programme's perspective, giving the group an opportunity to tell its own story in this Blu-ray presentation.
