U2 are an Irish rock band from Dublin, formed in 1976. After Steve Lillywhite produced their first three albums, they hired Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno to produce The Unforgettable Fire and The Joshua Tree, which put them onto charts all over the world. After the 80s ended they reinvented their sound with Achtung Baby, adding electronic elements to their rock music. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005 as performers.
Songs Of Experience is a 1 CD deluxe edition of U2's 14th studio album, released on 1 December 2017 on Island Records. The album is a companion piece to Songs Of Innocence (2014), themed around a collection of letters written by Bono to people and places closest to his heart. It was produced by Ryan Tedder and Steve Lillywhite, with additional production by Danger Mouse, Paul Epworth and others, and features guest appearances from Haim, Kendrick Lamar and Lady Gaga.
