Tangerine Dream | Phaedra | CD

Tangerine Dream is a German electronic band formed in Berlin in 1967, and is described as an exponent of the Berlin School of electronic rock music. Founded by the late Edgar Froese, the group moved from free-rock beginnings in the krautrock scene to a synthesizer and sequencer-based trio that signed to Virgin. Their music earned them a cult following during the mid to late 1970s.

Phaedra is a 2019 remastered reissue of the band's fifth studio album, originally released in 1974, issued as a single CD on Virgin Records. The album was recorded in December 1973 at The Manor in Shipton-on-Cherwell, Oxfordshire. Edgar Froese, Christopher Franke and Peter Baumann performed on it, and Steven Wilson remixed tracks 5 and 6 from the original multi-track master tapes.
