Gilmorea | Counterweight | CD

Thea Gilmore is a British singer and songwriter whose work connects incisive lyrics with a strong melodic sense. Her recordings move between intimate acoustic settings and fuller arrangements, while a direct vocal delivery brings personal reflection, narrative detail and social observation into the same musical voice.

The Counterweight brings Thea Gilmore's direct songwriting and distinctive voice into an album of personal and social observation. The arrangements move between intimate detail and fuller musical passages, allowing the lyrics' changing perspectives to develop without losing the clear melodic character that connects the programme.
