Various Artists | The Best of Arvo Pärt | CD

Arvo Pärt is an Estonian composer whose music often centres on spare textures, resonant harmonies and carefully shaped musical space. His writing gives individual notes and changing relationships between voices or instruments a central role.

The Best of Arvo Pärt brings contrasting examples of the composer’s music into a collected programme. Vocal and instrumental textures develop through carefully shaped harmonies and musical space, introducing different aspects of his writing in this CD edition.
