The Blind Boys of Alabama | Higher Ground | CD

The Blind Boys of Alabama are an American gospel group whose recordings centre on expressive ensemble singing. Their performances bring lead voices and harmonies together with instrumental accompaniment, connecting gospel themes with contrasting rhythmic and melodic arrangements.

Higher Ground presents the Blind Boys of Alabama's gospel performances with instrumental support from Robert Randolph and the Family Band. This expanded CD adds seven bonus recordings to the original twelve-track album, extending the programme with further performances of traditional and contemporary material.
