Dietrich Fischer | Dieskau-Dietrich Fischer-Diesk | DVD

Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau was a German baritone especially associated with art song. His performances placed close attention to language, phrasing and musical detail at the centre of a wide classical repertoire.

This recital collection presents Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau performing Schubert and Schumann with pianist Hartmut Höll. Recorded at the Opera Theatre of Nuremberg in 1991 and 1992, the performances place voice and piano in the intimate setting of the art-song recital.
