Smiths | Sound Of | CD
£15.00
The Smiths were an English rock band formed in Manchester in 1982. The group consisted of vocalist Morrissey, guitarist Johnny Marr, bassist Andy Rourke and drummer Mike Joyce. Critics have called them one of the most important bands to emerge from the British independent music scene of the 1980s. Johnny Marr left in July 1987 and the band broke up later that year.
The Sound Of The Smiths is a one-disc compilation by The Smiths, issued by Rhino Records in the UK in 2008. It gathers 23 remastered tracks, compiled by Rick Conrad. The producers credited include John Porter, Johnny Marr, Morrissey, Stephen Street and The Smiths.
