Dave Brubeck | Interchanges ’54: Featuring Paul Desmond | CD

Dave Brubeck was an American jazz pianist and composer whose recordings combine melodic improvisation with an interest in unusual rhythms and musical structures. His work with small ensembles gives the exchange between piano, horns and rhythm-section players a central role, developing pieces through detailed musical conversation.

Interchanges 54 Featuring Pa presents Dave Brubeck in this CD edition. The release brings its material together as a physical programme, with the performances and musical contributions forming the focus of the presentation.
