Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was a prolific and highly influential composer of classical music, born in Salzburg on 27 January 1756 and died in Vienna on 5 December 1791. He was the son of Leopold Mozart. His output of more than six hundred compositions includes works widely acknowledged as pinnacles of symphonic, chamber, piano, operatic and choral music. Many of his works are part of the standard concert repertoire.

Requiem is a 1 CD album of Mozart's Requiem, recorded live at the Großer Musikvereinssaal in Vienna between 27 November and 1 December 2003 and released by Deutsche Harmonia Mundi in 2008. Nikolaus Harnoncourt conducts the Concentus Musicus Wien and the Arnold Schoenberg Chor, with chorus master Erwin Ortner. The soloists are Christine Schäfer, Bernarda Fink, Kurt Streit and Gerald Finley. The completion is credited to Franz Xaver Süssmayr, and the orchestration is a new, revised edition by Franz Beyer.
