Marillion | With Friends At St Davids (2C | CD

Marillion formed in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England in 1979 and has been recording consistently since 1982. Their output is generally regarded as falling into two distinct eras, one with original vocalist Fish and one with his replacement, Steve Hogarth, who joined after Fish's departure in 1989. The band's differing styles between the two vocalists have often been known to divide fans.

With Friends At St David's is a live album by Marillion on CD, recorded at St David's Hall in Cardiff on 16 November 2019 and released by Ear Music in 2021. It features the In Praise Of Folly String Quartet, including Annemie Osborne on cello, Emma Halnan on flute and Sam Morris on French horn, alongside Steve Hogarth on lead vocals and Steve Rothery on guitar. The concept began with With Friends From The Orchestra, released in 2019, in which Marillion teamed up with In Praise Of Folly to record re-arranged versions of their songs.
