Rocket Juice An | Rocket Juice A | CD

Rocket Juice & The Moon is a project that was announced in mid 2008, though recording was often delayed by the band members' other projects. Tony Allen had previously worked with Damon Albarn as a drummer on the album The Good, The Bad and The Queen. Albarn announced the band's name in a statement on 27 October 2011, saying that he had nothing to do with naming it and that the name came from a sleeve design by someone in Lagos.

This CD album was released by Honest Jon's Records on 23 March 2012. Its styles are Afrobeat, funk, African, hip hop and electro, and its genres are electronic and hip hop. Credits include Flea on bass, Tony Allen on drums and Damon Albarn on keyboards, with appearances by Erykah Badu and Fatoumata Diawara.
