Sparks | Seduction Of Ingmar Bergman | 2LP
Sparks is the name of the band of brothers Ron and Russell Mael, who are from Los Angeles, USA. They have been making music since 1969 under various incarnations of the Sparks name. In 1979 they began working with Italian producer Giorgio Moroder, which marked the start of their involvement with electronic music.
This is a 2 LP vinyl album by Sparks, issued by BMG in 2022 as a reissue of the 2009 pop opera. Commissioned by Sweden's national radio broadcaster, it was the band's twenty-second studio album. The story follows an imaginary trip to Hollywood by Swedish film director Ingmar Bergman, and Ron Mael and Russell Mael wrote the words, music and script.
