Crickets/Buddy Holly | Crickets/Buddy Holly | CD

Buddy Holly and the Crickets helped establish the guitar-band format of early rock and roll. Their concise songs, vocal harmonies and distinctive rhythmic feel became a lasting influence on later pop and rock musicians.

This CD combines The Chirping Crickets with Buddy Holly's self-titled album and additional recordings in a continuous programme. It places the group's early rock-and-roll performances alongside Holly's own material, giving a substantial view of his formative recorded work.
