Sisters Of Mercy | First And Last And Always (Bla | 1LP

The Sisters Of Mercy are a rock band formed in Leeds, UK, in 1980 by singer Andrew Eldritch and guitarist Gary Marx. Their dark subject matter, literary references, cavernous reverb and black record sleeves led the music press to describe them as a goth rock act, though the band has always rejected that description. The band released its debut album, First And Last And Always, in March 1985, after five years of independent releases that had built a large cult following.

This 2025 box set from Warner Music Group marks the 40th anniversary of the band's 1985 debut album, First And Last And Always, and was released on 4 July 2025. It contains one LP with the original album and three 12 inch 45 RPM records, each holding one of the EPs released before the album: Body & Soul, Walk Away and No Time To Cry. The records are on red and black marble vinyl, and the EPs include non-album tracks.
