Bombino is a Tuareg guitarist and singer from Niger whose music connects desert-blues traditions with electric-guitar arrangements. His recordings give repeating melodic figures and rhythmic ensemble playing a central role, supporting songs through vocals and instrumental exchanges.
Azel presents Bombino's vocals and electric-guitar playing in a CD album programme. The songs connect Tuareg musical influences with blues-oriented ensemble arrangements, using repeating melodic figures and rhythmic band performances to develop the material.
