Coldcut x On-U Sound feat. Hamsika Iyer | Kajra | 1LP

Coldcut are a British electronic-production duo, while On-U Sound is closely associated with producer Adrian Sherwood’s approach to dub. Their collaboration brings electronic rhythms and studio experimentation together with contrasting vocal and instrumental contributions.

Kajra revisits the Hindi-Urdu song “Kajra Mohabbat Wala”, bringing Hamsika Iyer’s voice into Coldcut and On-U Sound’s electronic and dub setting. Different mixes explore the rhythmic and vocal elements of the piece.
