Byways of Steam | 3DVD

British steam-railway documentaries bring archival footage and other contributions together to explore locomotives, routes and railway activity. The programmes connect images of working trains with accounts of their operation, preserving the visual and historical character of different railway settings.

Byways of Steam presents a railway screen programme in a three-DVD collection. Steam locomotives, railway settings and filmed sequences provide the focus of the release, bringing the documentary material together across the physical discs.
