Tangerine Dream-Virgin Years | Tangerine Dream-Virg | 3CD

Tangerine Dream is a German electronic band formed in Berlin in 1967, and is described as an exponent of the Berlin School of electronic rock music. Founded by the late Edgar Froese, the group moved from free-rock beginnings in the krautrock scene to a synthesizer and sequencer-based trio that signed to Virgin. Their music earned them a cult following during the mid to late 1970s.

The Virgin Years 1974-1978 is a three-disc compilation released by Virgin on 17 January 2011. It collects the five albums Tangerine Dream recorded for Virgin Records between 1974 and 1978: Phaedra (1974), Rubycon (1975), Ricochet (1975), Stratosfear (1976) and Cyclone (1978). Ricochet was recorded live in France and Britain in autumn 1975.
