Radiohead | Amnesiac | CD
Radiohead is an electronic and alternative rock band from Oxfordshire, England. Formed by school friends in 1985, the band had a worldwide hit with Creep from the debut album Pablo Honey in 1993. Their third album OK Computer was released in 1997, and Kid A in 2000 marked further evolution towards experimental electronic music.
Amnesiac is the fifth studio album by Radiohead, released in 2001 on Parlophone as a single CD. It was recorded with producer Nigel Godrich in the same sessions as Kid A, and the band split the work in two because they felt it was too dense for a double album. Influences include electronic music, 20th-century classical music, jazz and krautrock. Arrangements by Jonny Greenwood are performed by The Orchestra of St. John's, conducted by John Lubbock.
