Robert Glasper is an American pianist, composer and producer whose work brings jazz into conversation with hip hop, soul and contemporary R&B. His recordings use improvisation, harmonic detail and collaborative performance to connect different musical languages within a consistent rhythmic and emotional world.
In December brings Robert Glasper's harmonic and rhythmic approach to seasonal repertoire. Familiar material receives new arrangements and collaborative vocal settings, allowing the melodies to retain their recognisable shape while the production and piano playing give them a contemporary musical perspective.
